What to do after brunch in Downtown Cincinnati
Weekend Carriage Rides at Macy’s Celebration Station: Enjoy free horse-drawn trolley carriage rides through the heart of the city. Courtesy of Macy’s. Boards at corner of Fifth and Race Streets (downtown); Dec. 10-11, Noon–5 p.m. (Final boarding at 4:45 p.m.—please arrive early!)
Walk around the Hilton and Westin hotel using the skywalk. There are lots of Christmas decorations to enjoy and you don’t even have to go outside! End at Palomino for a coffee. (Sit in the bar by the window and enjoy a view of Fountain Square.)
Go ice skating- Santa Skates at the Fountain Square Ice Rink; Every weekend from 12-1 Thanksgiving until Christmas, Santa will lace up his skates and join families out on the ice for an hour of holiday-filled fun.
Cincideutsch Christkindlmarkt, an authentic German Christmas market, will be held at Fountain Square for four weekends (Sat-Sun) starting Nov. 25.
Santa’s Workshop will be set up on Saturdays in Washington Park, November 26-December 24th. Santa and his merry band of Elves will be spending time in Washington Park making gifts, ornaments and other fun creations every Saturday from 1pm to 3pm. Bring your family, bring your wish lists, but most all–be sure to bring your cameras!
Head to Fountain Square for “Watch It and Wear It” – a family-friendly movie on the LED board and enjoy meet and greets with Rapunzel and Friends. This week’s movie is “Tangled”. Come dressed as your favorite character or with the theme of the movie. noon – 3pm.
