It’s been a busy year!

It’s been six months since we sent out one of these videos, so you have been probably wondering this whole time; what’s going on with those guys?  Are they still selling houses?  The answer is YES, we are still selling a ton of houses.  We had a very good summer here at Team TREO, our numbers are higher than they have been in the past several years and for part of that reason we got away from reaching out, keeping in touch and making videos to help you be a better buyer or seller.

I want to give you a few updates about our team.   Our team is still growing, which is awesome.  We have some brand new buyer’s agents that I will be introducing you to over the next six months or so, but also I have a brand new assistant.  If any of you have worked with me in the past you know that this job is really a two person type of job.    I can’t be in two places at once, so it is extremely important that I  have a very strong person who you and I can count on to follow through on those processes that we have in place here at TREO.  Sara, who was with me for three years has gone off to do something she is more passionate about, we are still very good friends and I wish her all the best.

I have a new assistant named Kura, so to help remember that name, just think, I want to Kura disease!  That’s how I remember it at least!  She came from another real estate team and she is already awesome.   She has a ton of real estate knowledge and I think we are going to be better, the two of us, than I have ever been before with one of my assistance.   So I’m super excited about that and I look forward to introducing her to any of you down the road.

As for my personal life; my one year old is walking now and saying a few words, so that is super fun.  Then my seven year old and just about five year old sons are playing soccer, scoring goals so I’m happy there as well!

Anyway, I want to talk to you a little bit about what is going on in the market.   The market was extremely good this year, especially for sellers.  There were more sales in August this year, than there has been in the past ten years.   Inventory continues to decline, which it has done over the past three years.  With inventory continuing to get lower, buyers actually continue to buy at higher and higher rates –  becoming a great market for sellers.  I was doing an open house yesterday with a house that has been on the market a little over a month and still had ten people come through the open house, all saying that they are out, still trying to find a good deal but inventory is so low.  So if you are thinking about still selling this year, there is still plenty of time to get a buyer under contract before we hit the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays.

If you want to give it a shot, here at TREO, we don’t make you sign long listing contracts if you don’t want to.  If you decide you want list it, then take it off the market for awhile, then come back on, that is totally fine as well.  We don’t force you into having to sell your house when it is not convenient.   So if you want to give it shot, right now before we get to the colder weather  then we can definitely help you out.  Otherwise, if you are thinking about doing it this spring, it doesn’t  hurt to have a conversation now so we can help you prepare your house for sale while you have some down time.  Last year, one of the best times of the year to put your house on the market was at the end of February – early March.  Buyers were chomping at the bit, and anything that was remotely  nice, just got snatched up right away.  So, if you are thinking about listing in the spring, it’s never too early to have that conversation so you can make sure you don’t miss one of the most opportune times to put your house up for sale here in Cincinnati.
